Hi, I’m Max Murphy

I have always been a person who has valued versatility, but not at the expense of quality. I will always strive to push myself to be an artist who is capable of producing high-quality work across a spread of styles and mediums. An artist who is versed in multiple genres and is not tied down by any one style or lens of creativity.  The idea that I will be great at everything because I desire to be great at everything is the very basis on which I picked up a camera.

​My dream is that I will be endlessly excellent simply because I chose to be.

My Approach

A colleague once told me his approach to facilitating success was living by the 5 p’s

“Proper planning prevents poor performance”

That has been my mantra and key approach to photography ever since. Whether it's getting to know my client and planning the shoot or doing my research on gear and new techniques. I will always push to be as communicative and do as much prep work as I can to ensure that the easiest part of our journey is pressing the camera button.
